How it works
Site visit or quote
Tell us your postcode, what you throw away and roughly how much. We quote from that, or come and look at the bin store if it is easier to see it. Either way you get one clear price before anything is agreed.
Bins sized and delivered
We recommend the smallest container that works and a collection frequency that keeps up with you. Most new customers start within a week, and if you are switching provider we line up the changeover so there is no gap.
A rolling contract on plain terms
No long lock-in, no automatic annual price rises and no fuel surcharges. Customers stay because the collections happen on the day agreed.
Simpler Recycling handled
Food waste, dry recyclables and general waste are separated as the rules require, so the business is compliant from the first collection rather than after an inspection.
Duty of care paperwork on file
Every collection is covered by a waste transfer note under our Environment Agency registration CBDU91900, upper tier, so you can produce the documentation whenever an inspector or auditor asks.
Check registration CBDU91900 on the Environment Agency register. Your duty of care as the producer does not transfer, so verify any waste company before you hand anything over, including us.
Why our lorries look like that
Mental health awareness, autism support, a Lightning McQueen tribute that makes kids point on the school run. Our fleet earns its keep and then some.

FAQ
FJL Waste Services collects commercial waste across London. Our rounds are densest in west and south west London, through Ealing, Hounslow, Hillingdon, Richmond upon Thames, Kingston upon Thames, Merton and Wandsworth, because that is where our depot and most of our customers are. If your premises are in central, north or east London, send us the postcode and we will confirm the collection days and frequency we can offer before you commit to anything.
The Ultra Low Emission Zone charge applies to vehicles driving in London, not to the businesses they collect from, so it is not a line item on your bill. Our quotes are all-in, with no fuel surcharges and no automatic annual price rises, so the price you agree is the price you pay.
Most new customers start within a week of agreeing a quote. We deliver the bins, set the collection days and, if you are moving from another provider, time the changeover so your bin store is never left without a collection.
Either is allowed. Business waste cannot go in household collections, and many London boroughs run a paid trade waste service, but you are free to use any registered waste carrier instead. Whichever you choose, the duty of care stays with you, so check the carrier's registration, keep your waste transfer notes, and compare on the things that matter to you: price, frequency, the streams covered and how easy it is to reach someone when a collection is missed.
Since 31 March 2025, workplaces in England with 10 or more full time equivalent employees have had to separate food waste, dry recyclables and general waste. Businesses with fewer than 10 employees come into scope on 31 March 2027. London is no exception. We set every new customer up with the streams the rules require.
No. FJL uses rolling agreements rather than multi-year lock-ins, with no automatic annual price rises and no fuel surcharges. If the service is not right, you are not stuck with it.
None of it goes to landfill. FJL reports 100% landfill diversion across the streams it collects, with food waste sent to anaerobic digestion and recyclables sent on for reprocessing. Across all our customers that is about 190,000 collections and around 10,000 tonnes a year.
Our depot is at Greenacres Farm, Harefield Road, Uxbridge UB8 1PW, inside the London Borough of Hillingdon. FJL has been collecting commercial waste since 2013 and runs its own fleet from there across London, Surrey and the Thames Valley.
Tell us your postcode and what you throw away. You will have a clear price back today, not next quarter.
