Family run from a depot in Uxbridge, 28 years on the same roads, more than fifteen thousand customers on the books. Not part of a national group. Not a franchise. The same people who answer the phone are the people running the routes.

FJL is a long-established West London independent, family owned and family run, built by people with 28 years of experience in commercial waste between them. The phone line is busy, the fleet is branded, and the customer list has grown past fifteen thousand. The setup is what it always was: pick up the phone, talk to a human, get the bins lifted.
We grew up the obvious way. One job leads to the next one on the same street. One street leads to the rest of the trading estate. Routes built like that, slowly, are the routes that stay efficient years later. By the time we were running daily collections across the Hillingdon, Ealing, Hounslow and Richmond boroughs, the fleet had grown to match. Same again across Surrey, into Spelthorne, Elmbridge and Runnymede, then out through Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead and the Thames Valley belt.
A lot of the local independents we started alongside have been bought up by national groups since. We have not. Family run, locally owned, locally dispatched. The decisions about your collection get made by people you can speak to, in a depot you could walk into. That is the bit we are not interested in giving up.

Every collection FJL runs is fully licensed and fully insured. Our Environment Agency Waste Carrier Licence is CBDU91900 and the full Duty of Care paperwork sits with every collection, ready for an auditor, landlord or ESG team to see.

Fleet
The fleet.
Every lorry on a route is ours. DAF and Scania skip lorries for builders skips, rear-end loaders for the trade wheelie bin routes, hookloaders for the roll on roll off work. Branded in FJL livery so you know who is on your site. No subcontracting, no white vans, no surprises.
The drivers are employed, not gig workers. Most of them have been with us for years. They know the routes because they run them every week, which means they know which gates stick, which side roads are restricted at 8am, and which receptions need the paperwork stamped before they leave. That is the part a satnav never tells a stranger.
Depot

The depot sits in Uxbridge, UB8, on the A4127 with the A40 a minute away. We are five minutes from the M25 at Junction 16 and a short hop from the M4 at Junction 3. Routes radiate from here every morning, west into the Thames Valley, south through Spelthorne and Surrey, east into the boroughs of West London. That geography is the reason we can give you a price the big national operators usually cannot.
