Yes. The machine rental and the waste collections are separate things, and you can take either one on its own. Plenty of customers start with just the equipment. It is worth saying that most end up moving the collections across too once they see the difference in service, but that is your call and there is no obligation either way.

Yes, and this is one of the most common ways we start. We will empty and exchange a compactor you rent elsewhere, or collect the bales off a baler that is not ours, and take over the waste stream without touching your equipment agreement. Then when that machine agreement comes up for renewal you have the option of bringing the whole lot under one supplier.

It is a monthly rental on a yearly agreement, and the figure depends on the machine, the site and the volumes. Delivery, installation, servicing, breakdown cover and training are all inside that monthly figure rather than billed separately. Tell us what you are producing and where, and we will price the machine and the collections together so you can see the total cost of the change.

Both. We hold refurbished kit of our own, which is usually the quickest and cheapest way to get a machine on site, and we source new units direct from the manufacturers where the application calls for it. We will tell you honestly which one suits your site rather than defaulting to whichever is easier for us.

When you are paying for collections of mostly air. If bins are going out half empty, or a bin lift is happening more than about three times a week on compressible waste like cardboard, film or general trade waste, compaction usually pays back. A 5:1 ratio turns five lifts into one. The saving is in the collection charges and the yard space, not the machine.

General trade waste, dry mixed recycling, cardboard and plastic film all compact well. Balers are for clean dry cardboard and film specifically. Keep out anything hazardous, WEEE including vapes and batteries, aerosols, liquids and construction rubble. Batteries in particular are a fire risk under compaction and need a separate compliant collection, which we can set up alongside.

Clean, dry, well-baled cardboard has a market value that moves with the recovered paper index. Where volumes justify it we will tell you what your bales are worth and reflect it in the pricing. We will not promise a rebate that the market cannot support, because those promises tend to quietly disappear at the first review.
