Many of the Bell Square units run smaller operations under ten FTE and fall in the 31 March 2027 micro-firm phase. Either way the food waste caddy is the first stream to put in place because it is what the Environment Agency checks for most directly in food service settings.
Can the Treaty Centre run Simpler Recycling centrally for tenants?
Yes, and many managed shopping centres do. The centre operator can hold the contract and the shared bin yard with individual tenants drawing transfer notes from the central scheme. Where tenants prefer their own contracts for cost or audit reasons we can run those alongside the central setup.
We are a small TW3 restaurant with eight staff. When do we have to comply?
Not until 31 March 2027 under the micro-firm phase. You can stay on a single-bin contract legally until then, but most under-ten restaurants across Hounslow we have set up early have done so because the food waste caddy keeps the bin store cleaner and the general waste bin shrinks substantially once segregation is in place.
